Apple Gift Cards $1.8M Settlement: Is It Legit? Read This First
Did you receive the Apple Gift Cards $1.8M Settlement email? It is not a scam. You received the mail because you filed a claim.
Apple’s got an agreement on the table, and it’s worth $1.8 million. What’s it all about? Well, there were claims that Apple stretched the truth when it came to the security and value of its gift cards.
Who Is Eligible For The Apple Gift Cards $1.8M Settlement
So, who’s in line this settlement? It’s for the people who bought eligible gift cards between March 2018 and July 2020. If you got one of those cards, but someone else swiped it before you had the chance to use it, and Apple didn’t offer you a refund or a replacement, this is for you.
There’s a special bonus for our friends in California who bought gift cards between May 2017 and February 2018 and had the same issue.
How Much Is The Settlement
Apple is saying they didn’t do anything wrong, but they’re still ready to put this gift card class action lawsuit to rest with a $1.8 million settlement.
If you’re part of the class, you could get a full refund of what you spent on those Apple gift cards. That’s up to 100% of the card’s value. But if there are a ton of claims and it goes over the settlement fund, the payments will be divvied up proportionately.
And heads up, if you want to opt out or voice your concerns, you’ve got until January 8, 2024, to do it.
How To File A Claim
If you are eligible, fill out a valid claim form before the deadline on Jan. 17, 2024.
