Who Is Eligible For The Audiophile Settlement
The settlement aims to benefit consumers who bought and still possess new and unused Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MoFi) vinyl records, specifically marketed as “Original Master Recording” and/or “Ultradisc One-Step,” from Audiophile Music Direct or other retailers between March 19, 2007, and July 27, 2022.
As per the class action lawsuit, Audiophile allegedly engaged in deceptive marketing by falsely claiming that certain MoFi records were created using exclusively analog methods, despite utilizing a digital transfer.
How Much Is The Settlement
Audiophile has agreed to make an undisclosed payment to settle the class action lawsuit.
Additionally under the terms of the settlement, class members who return their records in their original covers and/or boxes can receive a full refund equivalent to the actual purchase price, capped at 100% of the manufacturer’s retail price at the time of purchase.
Furthermore, class members who choose to keep their records can opt for either a 5% refund of their purchase.
