Beast Promo Scam: Beware Of This Giveaway Pop Up!
Have you stumbled on a giveaway pop up that says you stand the chance to claim certain amount of money. It could be $1000 or other amounts by following steps to do simple jobs. Beware! It is a scam. The Beast Promo Giveaway is not a real deal, and if you fall for it, you will end up losing your money.
I came across the pop-up this morning I was informed that the reward has been reserved for me for being a subscriber to a YouTube channel called MrBeast, run by Jimmy Donaldson. MrBeast, is a popular YouTuber philanthropist. When I saw the name, I realized that it is a scam.
Scammers are using this popular name to lure individuals and get their personal and financial information.
This kind of scam is not new. It is a typical bait and switch scam, where scammers lure you in with giveaway or freebies but then trick you into signing up for a subscription.
Who Actually Won The Mr Beast Giveaway
On Thursday in a social media giveaway, A Singaporean visual artist won more than $13,000. Courtesy of popular American YouTuber Mr Beast. Ms Sheryl Tan, who also goes by Meyyen, was one of 10 winners of the giveaway hosted by Mr Jimmy Donaldson – better known as Mr Beast – in celebration of his 25th birthday
What To Do If You Fell For The Scam
If you fell for the Beast Promo Scam there’s no need to panic. The first thing you should do is call your bank or credit card company and block your credit card. Meanwhile, if you gave the scammers any access to your Paypal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, etc., contact the company and secure your account.
