I Bought FastGrowingTrees.com Plants: Here’s my honest review, pros & cons
It’s 2024 and I’ve decided to take gardening more serious. In my search for where to get good plants, I stumbled on the brand ‘FastGrowingTrees’. However, reviews on platforms aside the official website weren’t too good.
Being a product tester and reviewer, I decided to take the risk and order the plants from fast-growing-trees.com.
In this review, I share my experience; price, delivery, pros and cons of this plant store.
Is Fast-growing-trees.com Right for you?
Launched in 2003 and owned by Berkshire Partners, this brand has just one aim: to make gardening simple for everyone. Formerly owned by They claim to sell quality plants at fair prices and make sure they arrive in good shape. Aside from selling plants, they provide info on planting and guarantee your plants will live for at least 30 days.
The Different kinds of plants available;
- Fruit Trees, Evergreen Trees, Flowering Trees, Shrubs and Hedges, Shade Trees, Privacy Trees, House and Patio Plants, Palm Trees, Perennials, Groundcover and Vines, Gardening Supplies, Grass Seed, Gift Trees.
My Experience Buying Plants from FastGrowingTrees
I fell for the ‘Buy 1 and get 1 free’ promo displayed on the website. Placed an order for 2 Regal Price, expecting to receive 4 as promised. When it arrived, I only saw 2 trees. Called customer care and I was told the 50% discount was nonexistent for the plant I picked.
Meanwhile, though the plant was well packaged, it was all beat up and dry when it arrived. I planted them right away in good soil and took care of them.
I called to tell them about the condition, worried they wouldn’t make it. They just said to wait until spring. Now it’s spring, and they’re all dead. I tried reaching out to Fast Growing Trees, but got no response. I called for replacements, but they never came. I kept following up, but they never got back to me. Even after talking to a manager, no luck.
Pros
- There are a lot of plants to choose from
- well packaged
Cons
- Received dried plants
- unfavourable refund policy
Is Fast Growing Trees A Scam?
They are not a scam per se. However, they have some loopholes that needs to be looked into. Aside from my experience, there are lots of negative reviews on TrustPilot and SiteJabber.
The complaints range from defective trees, dead leaves, exorbitant price, no refund policy, etc. Also, one major complaint is the wrong description of plants. They advertise some of their plants as being in gallon-sized containers, but they are actually much smaller.
Would I Buy From Them Again?
For now, I don’t think I would buy trees from this brand again. The 30 days guarantee by FastGrowingTrees isn’t true. When you call to inform them of your wilting tree, you’d be made to keep it. They don’t replace the tree for free as promised.
I do hope they fix the issues I pointed out in my review, as it is doing the brand no good.
