Flux footwear caught my attention on social media after I saw their ads. I am skeptical of what I see on social media and I got a vibe they’re not as wide as they’re being made out to be and may be a better option as the company claims.
I bought the runners thinking they’d be my go-to shoes for working out. I spend a lot of time at the gym doing fast moves like sprints and jumps.

For the sake of this review we tired out the The Adapt Trainer and Adapt runner which the company advertises as extremely flexible and flat, meaning it actually causes your arches to build up their own support. But does it really live up your the claim.
Testing Out The Adapt Trainer and Adapt Runner For The First Time
I bought two pairs of shoes from flux, the adapt runner and adapt trainer to be precise. When I received them from fluxfootwear.com they were too big and looked funny on my feet, like duck feet. When I tried to return them, dealing with their customer service was a nightmare. First, they lost my exchange shoes for weeks without telling me. When I finally got a replacement, it looked used with a cut lace.
When I complained, they were really unhelpful, offering just a 15% discount on my next purchase or another exchange. Considering I already got a 20% discount for signing up, I expected better after all that hassle.

The shoes are hit or miss. Sometimes you get a good pair, sometimes not so much. Their customer service is really bad. They sell final sale items without telling you, and when you get a faulty product, they don’t help. They also delete negative comments on social media, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do the same with bad reviews.
How FluxFootwear.com Runs Their Shady Practices
They trick you with a “20% off” offer, but it’s not what it seems. After you buy at full price, you have to wait over 30 days to get a prepaid visa card for the discount amount.
After checking out the reviews on their website, it’s obvious that the 5-star reviews are fake. They all showed up at once and use language that doesn’t sound like something a regular customer would say.
Do They Offer Refunds
They run a shady return policy. To return, you have to submit photos and there is a special drop-off location the package must be returned to. In my case, in another state! There is also a $13. restocking charge
You can only exchange them within 30 days if you haven’t worn them outside. And when they say “three to five day shipping,” they mean it takes them five days just to send it out, not that you’ll get it in five days.
Does It Live Up To The Hype
They’re not super wide, but they’re a good option if you’re thinking about switching to barefoot-style shoe plus they are not pricey and most customers claim they are true to size.
Conclusion
Finally, I won’t be buying from this sneakers brand. The shoes were really uncomfortable, and their return policy is awful. It’s annoying that they make you pay for returns. I went to a local running store instead and found much better wide-toe shoes there.
