Is Geckocustom.com Scam or Legit? My Experience Shopping From Gecko Custom
Did you come across those eye-catching discounts on Geckocustom.com? Do you want to know if Geckocustom.com is a legit website offering personalized gifts like prints, blankets, mugs etc. Here’s a customer report. In this review, I share my experience shopping from Gecko Custom; its pros, cons, and what you should expect when you shop from the store.
What Is Geckocustom.com?
GeckoCustom is an online store that customize all kinds of items available on their store. They’ve got all sorts of personalized stuffs like prints, blankets, shirts, mugs etc. You can use them for special occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas.
How It Works
- Start by picking your fave product.
- Choose the personalized style that you want.
- Now, upload a top-notch photo.
- Resize it and let the auto background remover do its thing.
- Click the “add to cart” button, then into “check out” territory.
My Experience Shopping from Geckocustom.com
I ordered 2 shirts from their official website Geckocustom.com with promo code GG2P with my cat’s picture on each. It took me 11 days for my product (2 customized T-shirt) to be shipped, it was longer than the shipping time, as stated on Gecko Custom’s website and there was no custom tracking. and then, to my surprise, It’s from China.
The picture was cropped more than what the website showed and overpriced cutting off the sides of my cat’s face but the shirts looked okay otherwise. After the shirts were gently washed only 4 times, you can barely see the picture or the writing.
GeckoCustom’s service offers a 30-day warranty. I would recommend wearing it a bunch quickly to be able to contact them during the 30 days when it is damaged. Also, don’t even think about gifting them. Unless, of course, you’re into giving people disappointment wrapped in a shirt.
Geckocustom.com Pros: What I Like About This Online Store
- They offer custom photo gifts, which is good for special occasions.
- The product variety is wide, from prints to blankets and mugs.
- The website looks fancy and promises a lot of personalization.
Geckocustom Cons: What I Don’t Quite Fancy
- Located in China not US
- Delivery takes up to three weeks
- The quality of shirt wasn’t topnotch
Is A Geckocustom.com A Scam?
No, it’s not an outright scam. However, there’s a lot of sketchy things about the online store. First of all, they make themselves appear to be from the US, but they ARE BASED IN CHINA!. Secondly, the shirt I ordered was overpriced for the quality delivered. Meanwhile, I could not get anyone to tell me WHEN my order was expected to be delivered.
What You Must Knowing Before Shopping From Geckocustom.com
Shipping Is From China
The company make themselves appear to be from United states but infact they ae from China and it’s one of the main reasons it takes more than the number of days stated on their website to receive your order.
Poor Quality Of Goods
People are getting stuff that’s way below the quality they expected. The t-shirts I bought became unraveled after the 4 washes. Also, there are customer complaints of wrong printing on t-shirts which in my experience was cropped more than it should have been.
Garbage Customer Service
They run an unresponsive customer service. Their emails on shipping and tracking are complete crap. You can reach out to them through their phone numbers US Office: +1 805 367 1035, Singapore Office: +65 1234 5678, Vietnam Office: +84 123 456 789. Via the email address [email protected], They practically ignore your inquiries, and it will be a miracle if you receive a response via compliant or refund policy. Also, a customer report said.
Poor customer service
my son is very upset he didn’t receive his gift

Suspicious Pricing and Hidden fees
There have been reports of for hidden fees popping up out of nowhere. Invoices with unexpected charges, making us all question what’s really going on. Also, the are pretty inconsistent with their pricing for similar stuff.
How To Easily Identify a Scam Website
Aside from the obvious too good to be true discount sale, here are other ways to identify a scam website;
Recently Registered Website
How old is the website? The domain age of a website tells a lot about a store’s legitimacy or transparency. Websites below 6 months old are often considered unsafe. You can find out a website’s age by checking on Who.is ( a free domain checker tool)
Website Lacks SSL Encryption
find out if the website is secured with SSL encryption. (https and padlock symbols). If the padlock symbol doesn’t appear near the website’s URL, then it means your personal and financial information is at risk at the store.
No Business Address/ Fake Business Address
Does The website provide return address? If Yes (Copy the address and paste on your browser. Google map would show if it is a real warehouse address or a residential address) If the address has also been used by other websites you’d see reviews in search results.
No Reviews Online
Are there customer reviews online? (It is advised that you sit it out if there are no customer reviews of the store. However if you’re not patient enough to wait you can send a mail to us to verify if the store is legit)
Shady or No Returns and Refund policy
If the policy isn’t available or if it isn’t clear, you should quit shopping.
Unsecure methods of Payment
When an online store’s payment methods lack the necessary encryption and security measures to protect customers’ sensitive financial information, it puts you – the shopper at risk of unauthorized transactions.
Conclusion
GeckoCustom is a suspicious online website that offers personalized stuffs like prints, blankets, shirts, mugs etc. You can use them for special occasions. However, their shirts came from China, not the US as they made it seem.
Pictures were cropped more than expected, and after just four washes.
