Who Is Eligible For The PorterCare Adventist Health System Settlement
The settlement encompasses all individuals who underwent orthopedic or spinal procedures at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colorado, from July 21, 2016, to April 5, 2018. It applies to those who received an official notification from Porter on either April 4, 2018, or April 6, 2018, as well as those who became aware of the sterilization issues at Porter and subsequently underwent blood tests to screen for bloodborne pathogens, with negative results.
How Much Is The Settlement?
As part of the settlement, around 3,000 patients will be receive compensation. The settlement fund will be divided equally among all eligible class members based on a pro-rata distribution method. Also It is estimated that each class member will receive an approximate amount of $1,250.
