There is an ongoing McAfee Subscription Renewal Scam Email asking recipients that they need to discuss their case and take action. Potential victims are then asked to press one in order to connect to a federal agent. Beware! It’s a scam.

Lots of people have received this Officer Schultz Scam Call – Press One for Concerned Department this July 2023. The text was sent by scammers whose goal is to get people’s personal and financial information.

It is a fraudulent message sent by scammers who intend to get your personal and financial information. Asking recipients to that they need to discuss their case and take action. Potential victims are then asked to press one in order to connect to a federal agent.. Don’t be deceived. It is all scam!

Clicking on the link exposes you to viruses, spywares, malwares, which are harmful to devices and can hack and destroy your mobile phone. Beware!

No matter how convincing the text may seem, don’t be carried away. The best thing to do if and when you receive this scam text is to block the sender and delete it immediately.

The Scam Text Comes I This Format:

This is Officer Sarah Schultz calling you from the legal department. The very 2nd you receive this message, you need to leave your work aside so that we can discuss about your case and take necessary action on this matter. In order to connect the federal agent, press one and you will be connected to the concerned department. If we don’t hear from you, then we will be forced to take legal action against you press one and you will be connected to the concerned department.

How To Know Similar Scam Text

  • The message creates a sense of urgency to get you to act quickly. For example, it may claim that your bank account has been closed or that you’ve won a free gift. 
  • Next, the scammer will try to get you to either respond, click on a link, or call a number or send a message to an email.
  • You aren’t expecting a delivery from this company. 
  • The text message comes from a long or unusual phone number. 
  • The link in the text is obscured or doesn’t come from an official companies like PayPal, Costco, USPS, UPS, FedEx website etc. 

Tips To Avoid Being Scammed

  • Do not click on the link or call back the number provided
  • Never respond to the emails
