Who Is Eligible For The Omnicon ERISA Class Settlement

People who were part of the Omnicom Group Retirement Savings Plan from May 29, 2014, to July 5, 2023, and had money in Fidelity Freedom Funds with yearly recordkeeping fees are getting something from this settlement.

Omnicom got in trouble because they didn’t tell folks about the costs and risks of their retirement plan investments. This led to higher fees for the plan and people losing money in not-so-great investments.

How Much Is The Settlement

Omnicom isn’t saying they did anything wrong, but they’re paying $2.45 million to settle the lawsuit.

If you’re part of this, here’s how you’ll get your share: If you’re in the plan now, the money goes into your investment account. If you’re not in the plan anymore, you’ll either get a check or it can go into another retirement account.

You have to be part of this, and there’s no deadline to opt out. But if you have any issues, you can say something about it until November 1, 2023.
