Oral B Scam Email 2023: Fake Survey for Electric Toothbrush!

Have you received an email from Oral B, asking you to confirm some subscription or claim a free toothbrush? Beware! It is a scam.

Lots of people have received this scam mail this June 2023. The text was sent by scammers whose goal is to get people’s personal and financial information. Sadly, those who use hotmail keep getting the email in their mail inbox, whereas Gmail users receive it in their spam.

One thing you should have at the back of your mind is that the email is not from Oral B. It’s a mass mailing phishing campaign. The scammers want your personal details.

If you have set your inbox to exclusively accept mail from addresses in your address book, and they are still appearing in your inbox, then they are likely spoofing your email address or something similar.

The issue is probably that your email providers security isn’t great. This happens a lot with free email addresses from smaller providers. Moving to something like Gmail can help, or if you want to stay with your current email address, try tightening up the rules around your emails and what gets delivered to your inbox. You can also try blocking particular email providers if they are all coming from obscure email providers.

Clicking on that malicious link exposes you to viruses, spywares, malwares, which are harmful to devices and can hack and destroy your mobile phone. Beware!

How To Know Similar Scam Text

• The message creates a sense of urgency to get you to act quickly. For example, it may claim that your bank account has been closed or that you’ve won a free gift. 
• Next, the scammer will try to get you to either respond, click on a link, or call a number or send a message to an email.
• You aren’t expecting a delivery from this company. 
• The text message comes from a long or unusual phone number. 
• The link in the text is obscured or doesn’t come from an official companies like PayPal, Costco, USPS, UPS, FedEx website etc.

• Do not click on the link or call back the number provided
• Never respond to the emails
