My shipping address is in Hong Kong while the products were sent over from China – I don’t understand why it costs me USD30+ for shipping while it should only cost USD3-6. And when I reached out to the promoter, they read my messages but never replied.

Brands requesting a collaboration by commenting in your comments on Instagram, or your blog. They’re using a shotgun approach hoping you’ll bite.
