Yes, it is true that online shopping has made life easier, however when ordering things online check out the following-
How old is the website? Does it provide return address? Are there customer reviews online? Do the social media icons work?
They are absolutely a scam website!! And I also found out by trying to find an address, a phone number, An email, anything at all. And nothing. Tried contacting them. And nothing. Why is it so easy for these scam websites to exist? Why does google allow them to pop up on their search engines? Somebody please ask google this question and share it with the rest of us. Google is an accessory to organized crime, making them criminals as well, in my opinion. They could easily block these websites from being associated with them at all. But they don’t. Because $. Of which I guess they don’t already make enough from legitimate revenues!!! They could also make the application/screening process more arduous. But no. Lazy rich techies.
Do you know if they end up trying to charge to your credit card? I’m guessing yes, otherwise they wouldn’t be doing it. Guess it is time for me to cancel my card and get a new one. What a pain.
Okay, so PayPal was listed on my credit card statement as the merchant for my order, but turns out they were just the processor. Their info showed some Dr. Ludwig… in Germany. They had an email, but no phone number to provide for customers. Luckily, with PayPal as the credit card processor, they gave me a full refund, and the scam merchant never had access to the credit card number, so I don’t need to cancel the card. The website isn’t working now, so hopefully no one else will be ordering from them.
I wholeheartedly agree with you in regards to google being complicit in these online crime syndicates. They could do something about it, but don’t. They should be the ones in jail too.
Yeah I got scammed too. I should have seen the red flags, but didn’t, oh well. I’m going thru my bank to protest the charges. I hope this is effective.
