What Is SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense
The SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense is a light serum that is supposed to lighten skin imperfections such as hyperpigmentation, melasma, and post acne scars.
It’s supposed to make dark spots less noticeable, brighten your skin, and reduce the chances of more dark spots showing up. It might also make stubborn brown patches and post-blemish marks less visible, and it can be used with professional treatments like chemical peels and certain laser procedures. But does it work?
The Ingredients Inside Include
Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Glycerin, Tranexamic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Kojic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Allantoin, Chlorphenesin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta.
My Expereince Using SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense
I tried a sample of this product and liked it, so I bought a full-sized bottle from their official website and it arrived in 5 days.
It helped with my hyper-pigmentation, absorbed well, and wasn’t sticky. The downside is the price and the spots i had on my face from a previous breakout. I found two more affordable options with similar ingredients – Good Molecules Discoloration Correction Serum for $12 and The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Night Treatment for $14.99. I actually prefer The Inkey List, so I won’t be buying SkinCeuticals again.
Does SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense Work? Customer Reviews
Yes it works, i saw some improvements in the hyper-pigmentation on my skin. The marketing claims this product reduces dark spots, but after using a whole bottle, the spots on my face are yet to fade, probably works better for new spots. The serum is easy to apply and feels like a vitamin C serum and it’s good for Dry, Normal, Oily skins. It didn’t cause any irritation, but I haven’t seen the promised results on my spots yet.
