Looking closely at the first photo, you will notice that str-capital.com traces it’s location to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). They claim to be under the governing law of the country. Now look at the photo below that, it says if there is a dispute, it will be resolved in court according to the laws of Estonia. Two very different locations. Strange, isn’t it?

To cap it all, the contact phone number provided by the str-capital.com carries a +44 country code. If you’re familiar with country codes, you will immediately realize that this code belongs to the United Kingdom.

With this, we already have subtle, untraceable links between STR Capital brokers and three different countries. We believe this inconsistency is enough to call a red flag.

Trading Platform

The trading platform we found in use on str-capital.com is one very common with scammers. It is not surprising that they choose not to use the MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader5 used by legit platforms.

As stated earlier, str-capital.com states connections to both SVG and Estonia in their terms and conditions. It is well known that SVG is an offshore location and a location for lots of scam brokers. This has been since the SVGFSA denied regulating any brokerage company in their region.

With that, we proceeded to check the FI registry (Estonia), where we were unable to find any match for STR Capital. The only meaning to this is that STR Capital is an unlicensed, hence an illegal broker.
