Is Transact FCRA Background Settlement Legit?

Did you receive the Transact FCRA Background Settlement email? It is not a scam. You received the mail because you filed a claim.

In case you’ve forgotten,  the class action lawsuit regarding background checks, Tranzact did not fulfill the requirements of the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) when conducting background checks on employees and applicants. The settlement is good for people who applied for a job at a call center run by Willis Towers Watson. If they were not hired because of background checks and did not get a copy of the report and a summary within five days, they can now get benefits from the settlement.

Tranzact has not accepted responsibility for any wrongdoing, but they have agreed to pay a settlement amount of $296,400 to resolve the class action lawsuit concerning FCRA.
