This seems to be a scam. No phone number on the website. No communication from the company at all. When I called our hotel, they had no record of my reservation.

Ironically, when I post on here, someone responds, but when I use the contact info on the website, no one is able to respond EVEN with all my information provided to them, which I will not provide on this public forum.

Why is there no phone number on the vio.com website? To me that is a major red flag.

  1. Vio.com IS a scam. Just lost $1,600. No reservation once I got to my hotel. The Fairmont hotel has no traces of anything from Vio.com. Bio.com has no phone number or working email address. Avoid them if you do not want to be disappointed.

  2. We booked with them for our little getaway. When we showed up at the hotel, the hotel told us they didn’t have our booking. Stuck out of town we immediately found another place to not be homeless for the night. At a great cost as it was last minute on a Friday night. Vio emailed back stating they would refund us. Today they advised that the hotel told them we didn’t show up and will not issue us a refund. If you ask me it is a total SCAM!!!!!! Stay away!! There at no telephone numbers to reach them. It’s all via email.

  3. I booked a 5 stars SPA hotel with breakfast, diner and SPA access for 2 nights, 3 weeks ago for a staty in February to a ski station. ( Christmas surprise for my husband)
    They just informed me that there is an issue with my booking : they can only booked a room with no spa and no diner in a 4 stars hotels.
    I am very afraid to have loose my money after reading few comments about vio.com .

  4. So pissed. I booked a Hyatt room for me, my wife, and our 17 year old daughter. It was supposed to have two queen beds. After a long day, we drove 2.5 hours to the hotel and all we wanted to do was lay down and relax. We bring 4 large suitcases up to our room to find there’s one bed. I went down to the front desk to tell them we had the wrong room. The front desk people tell me that they didn’t have any rooms with two queen beds because they have been booked up for weeks because of a baseball tournament. I get ahold of Vio.com and the person on the chat says that we can either go to another hotel (which there were none, they were booked as well) or they can give me 20% off. I said, “20% off??? There’s only one bed!” and their reply was, “…there’s a couch in the room, you can use that as a bed…”. I was so angry!!! Fast forward almost a month and they still have not refunded me ANY money! I feel like I was scammed, I want a full refund!!!

  5. WARNING: Vio.com are scammers. In addition to stealing your money via fraudulent travel practices, they will spend a huge amount of time and effort trying to remove legitimate reviews from this and other sites, in order to hide their fraudulent behavior.

    I booked a room with them in Cancun. It was prepaid and I received a confirmation email shortly after they withdrew the funds. When I showed up at the hotel they had no record of the booking. (NOTE: There are a large number of reviews in which the same thing has happened to many other Vio.com customers.) I attempted to contact Vio.com. They don’t have a phone number. I messaged them. And waited. It was late at night. I needed to go to sleep. They told me, over the course of two hours while I waited in the hotel lobby, that they were going to resolve the problem. They never did. The “confirmed reservation” was bogus. After repeatedly telling me that they were just about to fix things in 15 minutes, they did nothing. I ended up having to book a room at the same hotel myself, in the middle of the night, after waiting hours for vio.com to do nothing, at a price that was almost two hundred dollars more for one night than what I had paid vio.com. So they wasted my time, they took my money, they ruined my night, and they did nothing at all to fix the situation. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS. THE DUTCH POLICE NEED TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THESE CRIMINALS OPERATING OUT OF THEIR COUNTRY. To add insult to injury the Vio.com people repeatedly told me on chats that they would not just refund my original payment but also reimburse me for the extra money I had to pay to sleep that night. Here is my exchange with them from a chat:
    Me: Do you acknowledge that your
    company owes me the $159?
    And do you pledge to pay it?
    Vio.com Rep Leandro: I am assuring that we will. There are not evasions here, we just need more time to settle
    everything. Thank you for understanding.

    They did refund the original payment finally but now, almost three weeks after they agreed to pay the extra money I had to pay, they still have not done so.

    Instead they have spent their time trying to take down this completely truthful review. I am sure that within a few minutes of this being posted they will post some lies about me or my experience. Or deflect. That’s all they can do because they know the truth:
    VIO.COM ARE TOTAL FRAUDSTERS. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. EU PLEASE TAKE ACTION AGAINST THESE CRIMINALS.

  6. be very careful when ordering anything on this site. We traveled a lot, but what happened to us is ruining our vacation. We had breakfast included in the price, but the hotel told us that breakfast was not paid for (which the hotel does not recommend – cap verde villa verde and I do not recommend this server at all. We have been here for 5 days and nothing has been resolved. vio does not want to pay as the hotel told us and communication via the hotel to resolve the situation is not working. be very careful about this site. definitely take a booking.com when you want normal holiday

  7. I booked a room thru Vio, when I went to check in my room was already checked out to someone else. I had to pay for an additional room at a totally different hotel on my expense at 11:00 at night after driving 2.5 hours! The hotel had my reservation booked under Priceline not Vio. The hotel said that the booking company overbooked. Upon calling Priceline, they had no record of my reservation! I mean why would they, I booked my room thru Vio! Something does not add up at all. That night upon checking in, I went to Vio website hoping to reach someone to resolve this and there was no contact phone number. Vio are scammers and I reported fraudulent activity on my credit card against Vio. Beware do not book thru Vio!
