Who Is Behind The Vivid Seats Prices Class Action Lawsuit 

Vivid Seats Inc. is being accused of breaking New York law because they don’t show the full ticket prices, including fees, on their website. Janine Rubinstein, who filed the lawsuit, says that when you check out the tickets on the Vivid Seats website, they only show the base price at first. You only find out about the extra fee after you pick a ticket.

In the class action lawsuit, they give an example where Vivid Seats listed a ticket for a New York Mets baseball game at $80 on their website. But when the plaintiff went to buy it, they found out there was an extra $29.10 fee tagged on. That’s more than a 25% increase from the original price.

How Much Is The Settlement

This is no settlement amount for now. Rubinstein is saying that Vivid Seats messed up by only showing the fees after you’ve already picked a ticket to buy. She’s not having it and filed a lawsuit. She’s speaking up for herself and anyone else who bought tickets from Vivid Seats’ website for events in New York since Aug. 29, 2022. She’s also trying to represent a subgroup of New Yorkers in the lawsuit.
